T. Dallas <br /> <br />Pledge to the American flag <br /> <br />I. Consider approval of the minutes of City Council's meeting of October 8, 2002. (See <br /> Enclosure # 1) <br /> <br />II. Consider a presentation by Rob Tol.but, President of the Martinsville Education <br /> Association regarding the VEA Brighter Futures campaign. (See Enclosure #2) <br /> <br />III. Consider adoption of a Resolution in support of Rockingham County's highway <br /> priorities of inclusion in the Transportation Improvement Program of the State of <br /> North Carolina. (See Enclosure #3) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: Representatives from Rockingham County will be at the meeting to <br />answer any questions that Council may have. <br /> <br />IV. Consider a request by the Henry-Martinsville Department of Social Services for <br /> additional funding in the FY03 budget. {See Enclosure #4) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: Mrs. Joyce Grogan will be at the meeting to present this request7 <br />Should Council desire to grant this request, we recommend the appropriation of <br />$8,400 into Revenue line 14603938 462101 - Contribution from Fund Balance for <br />expenditure in 14565340 509195 - Customer Assistance. <br /> <br />V. Consider an update from staff concerning the purchase of a PBX (Private Branch <br /> Exchange) system in lieu of the current Centrex system. <br /> <br />VI. Consider a report from the Deer Population Management Task Force <br /> <br /> COMMENTS: Dr. Trollinger, Chairman of the Task Force, will be at the meeting to <br /> make this presentation. <br /> <br />VII. Consider adoption of a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute documents <br /> related to the submission of a grant application to the Economic Development <br /> Administration for $1,500,000 for improvements to the Patriot Center's 238 acres <br /> that are included in the revenue sharing agreement between the City and Henry <br /> County, thereby committing $232,166.67 as the required local match for the grant. <br /> (See Enclosure #5) <br /> <br /> <br />
