AGENDA <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />CITY OF MARTINSVILLE, VIRGINIA <br /> <br />Council Chambers - Municipal Building <br />7:30 p.m.- Tuesday, August 13, 2002 <br /> <br />Invocation - Vice-Mayor Terry L. Roop <br /> <br />Pledge to the American flag <br /> <br />I. Consider approval of the minutes of City Council's meetings of July 9 <br /> and 23, 2002. (See Enclosures #1-a and l-b) <br /> <br />II. Consider approval of the FY2002-03 Performance Contract between <br /> Piedmont Community Services and the Virginia Department of Mental <br /> Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services. (See <br /> Enclosure #2) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: This is an annual requirement by the State that localities <br />approve these Performance Contracts. Mr. James Tobin, Executive <br />Director of Piedmont C. ommunity Services, will attend your meeting to <br />answer any questions. <br /> <br />III. Consider a request by Carl deHart to be designated as Archivist for the <br /> City of Martinsville. (See Enclosure #3) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: Carl deHart will attend your meeting to answer any <br />questions. <br /> <br />IV. Conduct a Public Hearing and consider adoption on first reading of <br /> Ordinance 2002-10 on a request by the Planning Commission to amend <br /> Zoning Ordinance Section XIII, Business and Manufacturing Districts. <br /> (See Enclosure #4) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: The Planning Commission has reviewed and approved this <br />request; therefore, we recommend that Council adopt the Ordinance on <br />first reading. <br /> <br />V.
