Gene Teague <br /> <br />I. Consider approval of the minutes of City Council's meetings of <br /> August 28 and September 11, 2001. (See Enclosure #1-a and #l-b) <br /> <br />II. Recognition of City employees receiving Service Awards from July <br /> to September 2001. (See Enclosure #2) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: These employees will not be at the meeting, but the <br />Mayor will read the list. <br /> <br />III. <br /> <br />Recognition of Nominees for the 2001 Third-Quarter Service Excel- <br />lence Award and announcement of Quarterly Winner. <br />(See Enclosure #3) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: These employees have been invited to the meeting. <br /> <br />IV. Conduct the Town Meeting. (See Enclosure #4) <br /> <br />Consider authorizing the Mayor to execute an Agreement for the <br />Use of the City of Martinsville Solid Waste Disposal Facility by <br />Henry County from July 1, 2003, to June 30, 2006. <br />(See Enclosure #5) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: The City and County Administrations have nego- <br />tiated this Agreement (which is a modified extension of an existing <br />Agreement) allowing Henry County to continue use of the City's <br />Landfill. The Henry County Board of Supervisors will consider <br />action at its meeting on Monday, September 24. Assuming their <br />approval, we recommend that Council authorize the Mayor to <br />execute the Agreement on behalf of the City. <br /> <br /> <br />
