(See Enclosure g2) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: Mr. Paul Farrar, Chairman of the Law Enforcement <br />Committee of the Drug Task Force asked to speak to Council about <br />this event. <br /> <br />Recognition of the City by the American Economic Development <br />Council for receipt of an Honorable Mention in its Promotional <br />Material Awards Competition. (See Enclosure g3) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: The City received this recognition for its "We Make <br />Great Neighbors" ad in the Triad City Facts publication. <br /> <br />Business frOm the floor. <br /> <br />Conduct a Public Hearing to receive applicants for one three-year <br />appointment beginning July 1,2001, to the City's School Board. <br />(See Enclosure g4) <br /> <br />COMMENTS: As of Agenda preparation, we have not received any <br />Information Forms or had anyone to express intereSt in this <br />appointment--Beth Sibbick does not want to be reappointed. Only <br />those persons who present themselves or are recommended by <br />someone during the Public Hearing can be considered for appoint- <br />ment. Such appointment cannot be made at this meeting--must <br />wait at least seven days after Public Hearing--thus will be on your <br />June 26 Agenda for appointment. <br /> <br /> <br />
