MONDAY, NOVEM E 'i9, 1990 <br />I'A specialand duly called meetingof the Council of the City of Martinsville, <br />Virginia, with Mayor Allan McClain presiding, was held Monday, November 19, <br />1990 in the Council Chamber, City Hall, beginning at 9:00 A.M. for the <br />purpose of reviewing the operations of the City Electric Department. All <br />members of Council were present: Allan McClain, Mayor; Alfred T. Groden, <br />Vice-Mayor; George B. Adams, Jr.; L.D. Oakes; and Clyde L. Williams. <br /> <br />Council was presented with an oral and written report by Robert I. Corekin, <br />Electric Department Director, which contained an overview of the Department's <br />staffing, functions, and activities. Following presentation of the report, <br />Council toured the electrical substation on Lester Street, saw a <br />demonstration of the SCADA system in the Office of the Director and at the <br />Central Warehouse, and toured the Hydroelectric Plant. <br /> <br />Council then toured the facilities at Patrick Henry Correctional Unit #28 on <br />Highway 58 West. <br /> <br />Mayor McClain then declared this meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />Lance G.
