There are safety <br />and security issues at this facility when races are held at the Madinsville Speedway. <br />Reservoir <br /> <br /> Mr. Dyches stated, "This facility consists of a 175-acre lake and 103 acres <br />surrounding it. We draw approximately six to seven million gallons per day. The main <br />source is Beaver Creek. With gravity flow, we can get approximately two million gallons <br />per day." <br />Water Plant <br /> <br /> Mr. Dyches stated, "Most of our chemical feeds are now housed in the new <br />building, built by in-house and prison labor. Two generators pump approximately five <br />million gallons of water each day." <br /> <br /> Mayor Crabtree stated, "Thanks to John and his staff. Originally started in 1893, <br />this is a state-of-the-art facility. The challenge that faces us is with the decrease in flow, <br />the Water Fund is not supporting itself." <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before Council during their work <br />session meeting, upon motion by Council Member Roop, duly seconded, by unanimous <br />vote, Mayor Crabtree declared the meeting adjourned at 1:00 P.
