September 5, 2000 <br /> <br />following vote, with all members voting: Vote 4 - 0 - 1; Yeas (4) - Crabtree, Ferri!l, <br />Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None; Abstain (1) - Dallas. <br /> <br /> Council decided by general consensus with no vote taken, to visit the City of <br />Emporia on Tuesday, October 3, 2000, as part of the "Virginians to Virginians' program. <br /> <br /> Council considered the need to meet in Closed Session. In accordance with <br />Section 2.1-344 (A) of the Code of Vir.ainia (1950, and as amended) and upon motion <br />by Council Member Dallas, duly seconded, and by unanimous recorded vote, Council <br />convened in Closed Session, for the purpose of discussing the following matters: <br /> <br /> A. Discussion of consideration of disposition of publicly held property, <br /> as authorized by Subsection 3. <br /> <br /> At the conclusion of this Closed Session, each member of Council certified that <br />(1) only public business matters exempt from open meeting requirements were <br />discussed in said Closed Session; and (2) only those business matters identified in ithe <br />motion convening the Closed Session were heard, discussed, or considered during said <br />Session. Upon return to Open Session, Council took no action. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before Council during their regular <br />meeting, upon motion by Council Member Dallas, duly seconded, by unanimous vote, <br />Mayor Crabtree declared the meeting adjourned at 9:45 P.
