Iris Read, Human <br />Resources Director, stated, "This is a result of meeting with Council Members. I <br />recommend that Council concur and distribute manuals to employees." Council <br />Member Roop stated, "1 don't know that we can determine on hire if an employee may <br />ever report to a family member. There may be a situation where the employee may <br />transfer because it's his or her chosen profession." Council Member Dallas stated, <br />"This clause may be infringing on their rights." Council requested that the City Manager <br />review this section of the Employee Manual and make the necessary corrections. <br />Council Member Roop moved to approve the Employee Manual as red rafted and <br />authorize distribution to employees; the motion was duly seconded and carried by the <br />following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Crabtree, Dallas, Ferrill, <br />Roop, Teague; Nays (0)- None. <br /> <br /> Earl B.
