May 9,2000 <br /> <br />motion convening the Closed Session were heard, discussed, or considered during said <br /> <br />Session. Upon return to Open Session, the Authority took the following action: <br /> <br />Vice Chairman Teague moved to adopt the following Resolution as <br />presented and transfer two certain adjoining parcels of land, lying <br />and being on the easterly side of Brookdale Street and being <br />known and designated as Parcel A, containing 1,104 acres and <br />Parcel B containing 0,195 of an acre as shown on a plat of survey <br />dated December 3, 1971, to PB&J, LLC; the motion was duly <br />seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members <br />voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Crabtree, Dallas, Haskell, Roop, <br />Teague; Nays (0) - None: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Martinsville City Council at its regular meeting <br />held on May 9, 2000 authorized the City Manager to execute <br />a deed conveying the hereinafter described property to the <br />Martinsville Redevelopment and Housing Authority, and, <br />WHEREAS, Martinsville Redevelopment and Housing <br />Authority has entered into an agreement with PB&J, LLC, a <br />limited liability company organized and existing under the <br />laws of Virginia, for the said PB&J, LLC to purchase the <br />hereinafter described property from Martinsville <br />Redevelopment and Housing Authority for the sum of <br />$121,000.00, cash in hand paid, <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Martinsville <br /> Redevelopment and Housing Authority at a duly called <br /> meeting held on May 9, 2000, that the Chairman be, and he <br /> hereby is, authorized and directed to execute and deliver the <br /> attached deed to PB&J, LLC upon receipt of the aforesaid <br /> purchase price of $121,000.00. <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before the Authority during their <br /> <br />meeting, upon motion by Vice Chairman Teague, duly seconded, by unanimous vote, <br />Chairman Crabtree declared the meeting adjourned at 10:03 P. M., and reconvened <br /> <br />Council. <br /> <br />At the conclusion of this Closed Session, each member of Council certified that <br /> <br />(1) only public business matters exempt from open meeting requirements were <br />discussed in said Closed Session; and (2) only those business matters identified in the <br /> <br /> <br />
