<br />APPENDIX A-SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE <br /> <br />6-7 <br /> <br />C. Five (5) copies of the final plat and other exhibits required for approval shall be prepared <br />as specified in sections 6-7, 6-8 and 6-9 and must be submitted to the agent within six (6) <br />months after conditional approval of the preliminary plat; otherwise, the conditional approval <br />shall become null and void unless an extension of time, not to exceed a maximum of three (3) <br />additional months, is applied for and granted by the agent. <br /> <br />D. The agent shall within fifteen (15) days from the date of submission of the final plat to <br />the agent, approve or disapprove such plat and shall notify the subdivider of the decision and <br />if it is a denial, the reasons for the denial shall be given. After notification is given of approval <br />of a plat then the plat shall be recorded by the agent with the clerk of court as soon as practical <br />but in all cases no later than one month after notification, and the clerk of court shall return <br />to the subdivider one copy of the final plat appropriately noted. Mter recordation the <br />subdivision can be vacated only by compliance with Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, <br />~ 15.2-2271 or 15.2-2272. The notice of the approval of the subdivision should give this <br />information. <br /> <br />6-7. Conditional plat approval. <br /> <br />Plats submitted for conditional approval shall meet the following regulations: <br /> <br />A. The preliminary plat shall be drawn at a scale of not less than one hundred (100) feet <br />to the inch. <br /> <br />B. The preliminary plat, which shall meet the minimum standards of design as set forth <br />in section 5, and indicate intended compliance with the general requirements, for the <br />construction of public improvements as set forth in subsection 5-5-A, shall give the <br />following information. <br /> <br />I. The proposed subdivision name and location, the name and address of the owner <br />or owners, and the name of the designer of the plat who shall be a registered <br />engineer or surveyor, licensed in the State of Virginia and approved by the agent. <br /> <br />2. The date, approximate north point, and graphic scale. <br /> <br />3. The location of existing and platted property lines, streets, buildings, water <br />courses, railroads, sewers, bridges, culverts, drain pipes, water mains, and any <br />public utility easements, the present zoning classification, if any, both on the land <br />to be subdivided and on the adjoining land; and the names of adjoining property <br />owners or subdivisions. <br /> <br />4. Plans of proposed utility layouts (sewers, water, gas and electricity) showing <br />feasible connections to the existing or any proposed utility systems. When such <br />connections are not practicable, any proposed individual water supply and/or <br />sewage disposal system must be approved by the governing health department. <br /> <br />5. The names, location, widths, and other dimensions of proposed streets, alleys, <br />easements, parks, and other open spaces, reservations, lot lines, building lines, <br />and utilities. <br /> <br />Supp.No.61 1745 <br />
