Article II. Alarm Systems Regulation of alarm company operators. Regulation of other alarm systems. Responsibility. Penalty. ARTICLE I. IN GENERAL Sec. 13-1. Attempt to commit misdemeanor. Every person who attempts to commit an offense which is a misdemeanor shall be punishable by the same punishment prescribed for the offense the commission of which was the object of the attempt. State law reference--Similar provisions, Code of Virginia, § 18.2-27. Sec. 13-2. Aircraft--Minimum height. (a) Except when taking off from or landing on an established landing field, airport or other property designated for that purpose by the owner, no person shall fly any aircraf~ in the city at a height less than the following: (1) Over any congested area of the city one thousand (1,000) feet. (2) Over any open-air assembly of people one thousand (1,000) feet. (3) Elsewhere, five hundred (500) feet. (b) A violation of this section shall constitute a class 1 misdemeanor. Cross reference--Penalty for class 1 misdemeanor, § 1-11. Sec. 13-3. Same Acrobatic flying. (a) No person shall acrobatically fly any aircraft in the city: (1) Over any congested area of city. (2) Over any open-air assembly of persons or below two thousand (2,000) feet in height, over any established civil airway, or at any height over any established airport or landing field, or within one thousand (1,000) feet horizontally thereof. (3) Over any other place at a height less than one thousand five hundred (1,500) feet. Supp. No. 57 790
