Stopping on thoroughfares or streets outside residential areas prohib- <br />ited; exceptions. <br /> <br />(a) No vendor of ice cream or related products shail stop his vehicle for the purpose of <br />selling products on any street which is a thoroughfare or on any street other than in the <br />residential areas of the city, except that, by permission of the director of parks and recreation, <br />such vendor may vend his products in a public park. <br /> <br />(b) For the purpose of this section, the foilowing are thoroughfares: Market, Church and <br />Liberty Streets and Commonwealth and Memorial Boulevards. <br />(Ord. of 6-1O-S0) <br /> <br />Sec. 12-132. Stopping near intersection. <br /> <br />No vehicle shail be stopped for the purpose of selling or vending ice cream or related <br />products within one hundred (100) feet of any intersection. <br />(Ord. of 6-10-S0) <br /> <br />Sec. 12-133. Use of noise-making devices by operator. <br /> <br />No person operating a vehicle for the purpose of selling or dispensing ice cream or related <br />products shail use any noise-making device, except a beil, for the purpose of attracting <br />customers. The use of such beil shail be in such manner as to not become objectionable to the <br />citizenry. Reserved. <br /> <br />ARTICLE VI. BICYCLES AND MOPEDS" <br /> <br />Sec. 12-140. Definitiou, age of operation. <br /> <br />The term "bicycle" as used in this chapter, shail be deemed to mean any device propeiled <br />solely by human power, having pedals, two (2) or more wheels, and a seat height of more than <br />twenty-five (25) inches from the ground when adjusted to its maximum height (a recumbent <br />device shail be deemed a bicycle regardless of a seat height). For purposes of the city code, a <br />bicycle shall be a vehicle when operated on a highway, street or ailey. <br /> <br />For purposes of this chapter, the term I1bicyclel1 shall also include mopeds as defined in <br />Section 46.2-100, of the Code of Virginia, and all sections in this chapter shall apply to both <br />bicycles and mopeds unless otherwise specificaily stated.
