Dallas <br /> <br />~Consider approval of the minutes of City Council's meeting of April <br />!25, 2000. (See Enclosure #1) <br /> <br />iBusiness from the floor. <br /> <br />~Consider adoption of a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to <br />~execute a Deed conveying several parcels of City-owned real pro- <br />iperty to the Martinsville Housing and Redevelopment Authority. <br />i(See Enclosure #2) <br /> <br />~:COI~II~II~I~ITS: On November 23, 1999, Council authorized the City <br />~ttorney to prepare the proper documents to convey certain par- <br />iceIs of City-owned real property to the Martinsville Redevelopment <br />!and Housing Authority. Those properties were (1) the remaining <br />developable parcels in the Clearview Business Park, (2) two parcels <br />ifronting Brookdale Road, and (3) an 18-acre tract in the vicinity of <br />Albert Harris School. We recommend that Council adopt the <br />Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute this Deed as <br />prepared by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Consider adoption of a Resolution authorizing the City Attorney to <br />iapply to the Civil Rights Division, U.S. Department of Justice, for <br />iapproval of the relocation of Voting Precinct No. 4 from the Mar- <br />~:tinsville High School Front Lobby to the Martinsville High School' <br />!Auditorium Lobby on Commonwealth Boulevard in the City. <br />!(See Enclosure #3) <br /> <br />iCOI~II~II~NT8: The School Administration has submitted this <br />~request for change to the City's Electoral Board. The Electoral <br />iBoard has accepted this recommendation and passed it along to <br />5City Council for action. The law requires the approval of the U.S. <br />!Department of Justice prior to any changes related to voting <br />iprecincts, therefore, we recommend that Council adopt the <br />~Resolution authorizing the City Attorney to make this request. <br /> <br /> <br />
