Thomas Harned, Assistant to the <br />City Manager for Development, added, "We have a good relationship with the <br />Department of Housing and Community Development. <br /> <br />I think we'll be at the top of the <br /> <br />list." Vice Mayor TeagUe stated, "People need to understand there's a bureaucratic <br />process." Council Member Haskell added, 'M/e need our money now." <br /> <br /> Council Member Dallas announced, "Melvin Carter, President of the Sportmen's <br />Club, invites everyone to the Annual Easter Egg Hide, Sunday, April 23, 2:00 P. M., <br />Baldwin Field." <br /> <br /> Council considered the need to meet in Closed Session. In accordance with <br />Section 2.1-344 (A) of the Code of Virginia (1950, and as amended) and upon motion <br />by Council Member Dallas, duly seconded, and by unanimous recorded vote, Council <br />convened in Closed Session, for the purpose of discussing the following matters: <br /> <br /> A. Appointment to the Transportation Safety Commission, as <br /> authorized in Subsection 1. <br /> B. Possible acquisition of real property for public use, as <br /> authorized by Subsection 3. <br /> C. Possible disposition of publicly-held real property, as <br /> authorized by Subsection 3. <br /> D. Consultation with legal counsel, as authorized by Subsection <br /> 7. <br /> <br /> At the conclusion of this Closed Session, each member of Council certified that <br />(1) only public business matters exempt from open meeting requirements were <br />discussed in said Closed Session; and (2) only those business matters identified in the <br />motion convening the Closed Session were heard, discussed, or considered during said <br />Session. Upon return to Open Session, Council took the following action: <br /> <br /> A. No action <br /> <br /> <br />
