84 <br />March 28, 2000 <br /> <br />the subsidiary motion was seconded and carried by the following vote, with all members <br />voting: Vote 4 - 1; Yeas (4) - Crabtree, Haskell, Roop, Teague; Nays (1) - Dallas; the <br />amended main motion was carried by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote <br />5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Crabtree, Dallas, Haskell, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None.. <br /> <br /> Council considered approval, on first reading, of Ordinance 2000-2 amending <br />Chapter 12 - Motor Vehicles and Traffic, Article IV - Stopping, Standing and Parking, <br />Section 12-98 - Unauthorized use of parking space reserved for handicapped, of the <br />City Code. Michael Rogers, Chief of Police, stated, "The City Attorney reviewed the last <br />revision and noticed enforcement at the hospital and churches had 'been left out." <br />Council Member Roop asked, "Would this Ordinance also allow private security officers <br />to issue tickets?" Chief Rogers replied, "Yes." Council Member Roop moved to <br />approve, on first reading, Ordinance 2000-2; the motion was duly seconded and carried <br />by the following vote, with all members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Crabtree, Dallas, <br />Haskell, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None. <br /> <br /> Wade Bartlett, Director of Finance, presented the Financial Report for month <br />ending February 29, 2000. Vice Mayor Teague asked, "With the current trend, what is <br />your projected year-end meals tax balance? What major expenditures remain?" Mr. <br />Bartlett replied, "The meals tax will end at approximately $40,000-50,000 below budget. <br />Major expenditures include paving, the Knollwood electrical project, two school buses, a <br />new roof on the high school, and an electric department vehicle." Council Member <br />Roop requested projected revenue and expenditures and a list of projects for the <br />remainder of the fiscal year. Mr. Bartlett replied, "They'll come in the budget package, <br />which is scheduled to be delivered April 10 or 11 ." <br /> <br /> <br />
