TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 2:5, 1999 <br />Council next considered conducting a Public Hearing on the disposal of City-owned real estate by the conveyance <br />of the same to Martinsville Kedevelopment and Housing Authority, as follows: <br />A. All of the remaining parcels in the Clearview Business Park. <br />B. A pared fronting Brookdale Koad. <br /> <br />The Public Hearing is a formality for designating City-owned land that is for sale. City Manager Keynolds <br />recommended that Council authorize the City Attorney to prepare the proper documents conveying these properties <br />to the Martinswille Kedevelopment and Housing Authority. The Public Hearing was opened. No comments were <br />made. The Public Hearing was dosed. <br /> <br /> Council moved upon motion duly seconded, with all members voting: Vote 4-0; Yeas (4)- Crabtree, Teague, <br /> Dallas, Koop; Nays (0)- None; Absent (1) - Haskell, authorization for the City Attorney to prepare the proper <br /> documents conveying the properties to the Martinsville Kedevelopment and Housing Authority. <br /> <br />Council next considered conducting a Public Hearing on the disposal of City-owned real estate by the conveyance <br />of the same to Martinswille Redevelopment and Housing Authority, a tract or parcel of land containing 18 acres, <br />more or less, situated, lying and being in the vicinity of the Albert Harris School. The Public Heating is a formality <br />for designating City-owned land that is for sale. City Manager Reynolds recommended that Council authorize the <br />City Attorney to prepare the proper documents conveying these properties to the Martinsville Redevelopment and <br />Housing Authority. The Public Heating was opened. No comments were made. The Public Hearing was dosed. <br />Council moved upon motion duly seconded, with all members voting: Vote 4-0; Yeas (4)- Crabtree, Teague, <br />Dallas, Roop; Nays (0)- None; Absent (1) - Haskell, authorization for the City Attomey to prepare the proper <br />documents conveying the properties to the Martinsville Kedevelopment and Housing Authority. <br /> <br />Next, Council reconsidered a request from American Tower Corporation for Triton PCS, Inc., for a Special Use <br />Permit to construct a telecommunications facility at 900 Rives Koad. A Public Hearing was conducted by Council <br />on the request, October 26, 1999. At that time, conditional approval was given for construction of a temporary <br /> <br /> <br />
