Assistant City <br />Manager Cashwell replied, 'q'hey have many of the same challenges and want to <br />achieve higher levels of economic development. Tobacco and soybean farmers are <br />prominent. They have a manager-form of government." Council Member Haskell <br />asked, '%Nould you recommend this?" Assistant City Manager Cashwell replied, "1 see <br />-no harm. Also, we may want to partner with a Northern Virginia city." Coundl Member <br />Roop said, "This is a great opportunity for us to learn and for them to learn." Mayor <br />Crabtree said, 'q'his would provide excellent benchmarking." M.; and October 15, 1999, begins Citizens Awareness Week, sponsored <br />by the Morning Star Holiness Church. <br /> <br /> Council considered the need to meet in Closed Session.
