Council Member Roop then asked if the City's costs would not rise as a result of <br />the inclusion of these employees anyway, and was told that it would, but to a lesser extent since these <br />employees were not included in the City's overall actuarial rate. Council then voted on the matter of opting <br />out of the new VRS 30/50 retirement option, by the following vote, all members voting, thereby opting out <br />of the program: <br /> <br />Vote: 3-1-1 <br /> <br />Yeas: (3) Crabtree, Haskell, Teague. <br /> <br />Nays: (1) Roop. <br /> <br />Abstain: (1) Dallas. <br /> <br />The meeting was then adjoumed. <br /> <br />Dewey P.
