TUESDAY, MAY 11, 1999 to 18 months after sites became available for development, based upon the current demand perceived for new housing. Mr. Bartlett added that the increased revenue from the expected increase in Real Estate tax revenue, plus additional utility billings, would result in more than $16, 000 in new annual revenue. Ms. Haskell asked Mr. Reynolds how he would characterize the existing housing stock in the City, and Mr. Reynolds stated that much of the housing stock lacked amenities that home buyers expect today. There was no further discussion of budget matters following this discussion. Under items not on the Agenda, Mayor Crabtree noted the receipt of a letter of thanks from the Henry Volunteer Fire Department for the recent donation by the City of a used fire truck to their company. The Mayor also mentioned the availability of the new Junior League Cookbook, titled Barracuda in Velvet Gloves, at a cost of $20 each. Council next considered the need to meet in Executive Session. In accordance with Section 2.1 - 344 (A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA( 1950, and as amended) and upon motion, duly seconded, and:by unanimous recorded vote, Council convened in Executive Session, for the purpose of discnassing :fi~e following matters: A.
