Councilman McClain asked Mr..IAdkins when the siltation would stop and when the damage that had occurred to the Moles' property would .be repaired. Mr..Adkins and Mr. Brown again denied that any damage ~ ......... I~had~occurred~=,to.the Molesf property... Coungilman' McClain stated that he had also heard from Mrs. Kate Wilson who had complained ,=about thesiltation.~ Mr. Brown stated that no sil~ation had flowed ~Onto Mrs-~ilson's property and that all ofit was on. Mr. Adkins' ~,=prop.ert~. Mrs_ BroWn statedlthat, although the development had resulted in unsightly conditions., the main issue ~aswhether or not siltation had flowedlonto the property of=otherS. Mr. BrOwn said Ithat, inhis opinion, it has not. Councilman .Groden suggested Councils conduct a tour .of the property CoUncilman=Cole stated that he felt that it was the City's responsibility to ensure that permanent damage be inflicted.on the Moles' property and that ,=Mr.=Brown had assuredCouncil this will. be.the case, Mayor Oakes ~statedthat he feltMr.~Moles feels Council had not responded to his concerns. Councilman McClain asked that Mr. Adkins_and the City Manager provide aschedule of when the erosion problem will be resolved. Mr Adkins stated that it will be a. continuing probl~em until all 49 townhouse units have been completed. Mayor Oakes, ..after discussing the issue with the other Councilmen, stated that the Council would tour the property after Mr. and Mrs. Moles re~urn,~XrO~ vacation in .two ,weeks.
