126 <br />WEDNESDAY, JULY 8, ~992 <br /> <br />A special and duly-called meeting of the Council of the City of <br />Martinsville, Virginia, with Mayor Allan McClain presiding, was held <br />Wednesday, July 8, 1992, in the Council Chamber, City Hall, beginning <br />at 3:00 P.M. All members of Council were present: Allan McClain, <br />Mayor; George B. Adams, Jr., V~.ce-Mayor; Steve M. Draper; L. D. Oakes; <br />and Clyde L. Williams. <br /> <br />After the invocation and follo~wing Mayor McClain's cordial welcome to <br />visitors present, the Mayor ahnounced that Council would convene into <br />Executive Session. <br /> <br />In accordance with Secti~e~ ~.-3~4!4.(A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, <br />and as amended), aMi~?~i~!ii~~,~ly seconded and by unanimous vote, <br />Council con~e~?~i~!~l'~e~ ~i~eSession for the purpose of considering <br />the ~'S~e~a~isition of real property for public purpose, as <br />authorized by Subsection 3. At the conclusion of this Executive <br />Session, Council reconvened into regular session, wherein, by a <br />recorded vote, each member of Council certified that (1) only public <br />business matters exempted from open meeting requirements were discussed <br />in said Executive Session; and (2) only those business matters <br />identified in the motion convening the Executive Session were heard, <br />discussed or considered during said Session. <br /> <br />Council took no action on this matter. <br /> <br />Mayor McClain then declared the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> e~G.~H~C1 <br />Lan erk of <br /> <br />Council <br /> <br /> <br />
