TUESDAY, JANUARY 26, 1999 <br /> <br /> A regular, semi-monthly meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, <br /> <br />with Mayor Mark A. Crabtree presiding, was held Tuesday, January 26, 1999, in the Cotmcil <br />Chamber, City Hall, beginning at 7:00 P.M. The following members of Com3, cil were present: <br />Dr. Mark A. Crabtree, Mayor; M. Gene Teague, Vice-Mayor; and Council Members Bruce H.T. <br />Dallas, Elizabeth H. Haskell and Terry L. Roop. <br /> <br /> Following Vice-Mayor Teague's delivery of the Invocation, Mayor Crabtree extended a <br />cordial welcome to all in attendance. <br /> <br /> Council next considered approval of the minutes of their meetings of December 3-4, and <br />December 10,1998, and January 7 and 12, 1999. Council Member Haskell asked that Council <br />consider a number of proposed revisions to the minutes of Council's Strategic Planning Work <br />Session of December 3-4, 1998. After some discussion it was decided that the proposed <br />revisions be incorporated into a new draft of these minutes and circulated for Council's <br />consideration. The minutes of December 10, 1998, and January 12, 1999, were not available for <br />consideration. The minutes of January 7, 1999, were approved as amended, by the following <br />vote, all members voting: <br />Vote: 5-0 <br /> <br />Yeas: (5) Crabtree, Dallas, Haskell, Roop, Teague. <br /> <br />Nays: (0) None. <br /> <br /> <br />
