225 <br /> .THURSDAY, JANUARY 21, 1999 <br />recommendations for an appropriate amount and/or ratio of General Fund Reserves. Mr. Rose stated this <br /> <br />information would be added. This concluded this portion of the meeting. <br /> <br /> Council recessed and reconvened at the Patrick Henry Community College Uptown Center, at the <br />comer of Moss Street and West Church Street. Dr. Cynthia Ingram, Center Director, briefed Council on the <br />success of the operation, the number and type of students that were being served at the Center, course <br />offerings provided, the importance of the Center to the community and other related issues. A tour of the <br />facility was then provided, followed by a discussion of the physical plant needs of the facility and estimated <br />costs to address these issues. Items discussed included needed improvements in heating and air conditioning <br />systems, plumbing elements, and parking and paving improvements. The total estimated cost to address the <br />improvements discussed was approximately $30,000. <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before Council the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager and Clerk of Council <br /> <br /> <br />
