NOVS B R 8. 1994].=88 <br /> <br />accountant, or 2% of the gross receipts which an organization reports <br />pursuant to Section 18.2-340.6 and the interest income on money that <br />the permittee has received from bingo or instant bingo operations, if <br />the audit is conducted by a local official designated by the governing <br />body; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in <br />regular session assembled on November 8, 1994, that the reasonable <br />audit fee required by Section 18.2-340.7 be, and it hereby is, <br />established in an amount equal to, but not to exceed, the actual cost <br />of the audit if the audit is conducted by an independent auditor or <br />accountant, or $50.00 if the gross receipts which the permittee reports <br />pursuant to Section 18.2-340.6 are between $2,000.00 and $5,000.00, <br />875.00 if said gross receipts are between 85,000 and $10,000.00, and <br />$100.00 if said gross receipts are in excess of $10,000.00, if the <br />audit is conducted by a local official designated by the governing <br />body. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by said Council that no audit shall be required <br />for any report filed by an organization with gross receipts of less <br />than $2,000 annually. <br /> <br />Upon motion, <br /> <br />Resolutions <br /> <br />Coordinator, <br /> <br />duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council adopted <br />authorizing Thomas Harned, Community Development <br />and Richard D. Fitts, Director of Finance, to conduct <br /> <br />transactions related to two money market accounts at Piedmont Trust <br />Bank established for the Housing Rehabilitation Program. The <br />Resolutions were necessary due to the resignation of Kevin Reed, <br />Director of Housing and Community Development, who previously was <br />designated as a signatory on these accounts. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council endorsed the <br />action taken by the Henry County Board of Supervisors to allow for a <br />study on the feasibility of consolidation of the Martinsville and Henry <br />County Social Services Departments. Council also authorized the Mayor <br />to send a letter to the Virginia Department of Social Services in this <br />regard. <br /> <br />Council considered authorizing the Martinsville School Board to apply <br />to the State Board of Education for loans from the Literary Fund of <br /> <br /> <br />
