THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 1998

the City' s ele. ctr4caigrid,-and hnpruvetnen~s in-~le o-perm-ion xn~ne City~s~e-~ 'system: -]xt-terms of

cost for the system, Mr. Reynolds stated that this years work would cost about $154,000, and that about 70%
of those funds would be needed prior to June 30, 1999. He then asked Council to appropriate funds
necessary to purchase the needed equipment at this time. Couneit Member Roop expressed-his displeasure at
having to consider such an unfunded and unbudgeted item part way through the Fiscal Year. He asked where
the funds would come from and was told that they would come from the Electric Fund fund balance. Vice-
Mayor Teague stated that in the-next Fiscal Year he wanted to see the balance of funds for the project
appropriated in the budget. There was consensus expressed by Council that the work on the system should be
continued, and that the transfer from the Electric Fund should be accomplished to continue the project this
fiscal year.

There being no further business to come before Council during their meeting, upon motion duly seconded, by
unanimous vote, Mayor Crabtree declared the meeting adjourned.

Assistant City ~anager and C~//~fof Council
