Councilman Teague said the State needed to ensure that <br />funding formulas do not impederegionalcooperative efforts. <br /> <br />Chairman Matthews encouraged the legislators to reinstate funding for <br />arts programs, such as those provided by the Piedmont Arts Association, <br />citing their usage by the Schools. <br /> <br />Sheriff Steve M. Draper briefly noted the issues in the Legislative <br />Program pertaining to corrections, with particular emphasis on the <br />current policy whereby localities to whom the City sends prisoners and <br />pays a fee for doing so receive the per diem allowance from the State <br />for housing those prisoners. <br /> <br />There being no further matters to discuss, Mayor Adams declared the <br />meeting ad3ourned. <br /> <br />Lance G.
