178 <br /> WEDNESDAY, JUNE 19, 1996 <br /> <br />Real Estate <br />Personal Property <br />Machinery and Tools <br /> <br />S0.84 <br />Sl.92 <br />Sl.85 <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by said Council that, an emergency existing, <br />this Ordinance shall be in force on and after July 1, 1996. <br /> <br />In accordance with Section 2.1-344 (A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, <br />and as amended) and upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous <br />recorded vote, Council convened into Executive Session for the purpose <br />of discussing the following matters: (1) appointments/reappointments <br />to the School Board, as authorized by Subsection 1; (2) a personnel <br />matter under the jurisdiction of Council, as authorized by Subsection <br />1; and (3) consultation with legal counsel, as authorized by Subsection <br />7. At the conclusion of this Executive Session, each member of Council <br />certified that (1) only public business matters exempt from open <br />meeting requirements were discussed in said Executive Session; and (2) <br />only those business matters identified in the motion convening the <br />Executive Session were heard, discussed or considered during said <br />Session. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council reappointed <br />Charles W. Davies, Jr., 1234 Mulberry Road, and Bernie F. Gray, Jr., <br />914 Vine Street, to the School Board for three-year terms beginning <br />July 1, 1996. <br /> <br />Council took no action on the other matters discussed in Executive <br />Session. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams then declared the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />Clerk of Council <br /> <br /> <br />
