Mrs. Ethel <br />Nunn of the Finance Department then discussed the arrangements available for automatic bank drafts for <br />utility payments, stating that this provision had been available for quite some time. City Treasurer Pat Conrad <br />was then asked her opinion of the suggested changes. She replied that she supported them, but asked that <br />they be implemented with a timing strategy that would not place an undue workload burden on her office, so <br />as to avoid the peak period of payments for auto decals. Mr. Teague then suggested that the changes be <br />brought for Council for first reading at their second meeting in January, 1998, and have the second reading in <br />February of 1998.
