242 <br /> <br />TUESDAY, AUGUST 26, 1997 <br /> <br />Cablevision be, and the same hereby are enacted to take effect from September 1, 1997, through December 31, <br />1997. <br /> <br />Upon motion duly seconded, and by unanimous vote, Council authorized the City Attorney to take whatever <br />legal action necessary and appropriate to acquire the Obediah Niblett Property located on West Church <br />Street, in the Massey-Endless Neighborhood Improvement Project area. <br /> <br />Under items not on the Agenda, Council discussed the following: <br /> <br />Council agreed to start their Thursday, September 4, 1997 work session at 8:00 A.M. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams suggested that it would be helpful to citizens to have the Commissioner of Revenue and the <br />City Treasurer provide informational messages in their billings and tax statements concerning changes that <br />City Council makes on rates, fees, tax relief opportunities, and other related items. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dallas stated that he will bring to Council', in the near future, a petition to change the name <br />of Fayette Street to Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard. <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before Council, upon motion duly seconded, by unanimous vote, <br /> <br />Mayor Adams declared the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />Dewe~y P.C~~w~ll, Clerk of Co ncil <br /> <br /> <br />
