Paragraph K.. rcmporary <br />Display, of the Zoning Ordinance, <br /> <br />Our Ordinance currently allo\\5 the use of trailer-mounted signs (with or without wheels, banners, <br />streamers, pennants and/or animated devices suspended from ropes, cords or wires by issuance of a permit <br />for u period of thirty days and only once every ninety days. The proposed amendment would allow a <br />permit to be issued for sixty days and iC approved for another thirty dnys by issuance of another permit <br />The amendment would also allow the City to remove the sign after the expiration date at the cost of th~' <br />individual applicant or responsible enterprise. <br /> <br />At the Public !Iearing it was noted the service time of seasonal businesses is usually longer than one <br />month. This proposal would enable these businesses to advertise for a longcr period of time without the <br />cost of another permiL City staCr is recoml1l(_'nding the amendment in an attempl to be more business <br />ti'i<:ndly, especially for smaller businesses.
