<br />356 <br /> <br />APRIL 26. 1955 <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />A proposed right-ot-way agreement, as approved by City Attomey stone <br /> <br />and reoommended by the City's right-ot -way agent, regarding the widening <br /> <br />ot Memorial Boulevard south, and between the City and Ernest 1-1. and <br />Edith N. kyers, was approved for City Manager Mathewson's signature. <br /> <br />Several citizens and property owners residing in the Chatham Heights <br /> <br />area appeared before Council and requested that improvements be made to <br /> <br />the sewer system in that area, to Chatham Road (widening; improving of <br /> <br />shoulders and ditches), and to the water system (tor additional fire <br /> <br />protection) on Owens Road. Counoil took the request under oonsideration. <br /> <br />Announcement was made by Mayor Hodnett of a public hearing to be conduoted <br /> <br />by the State Highway Commission, for the Salem Highway District, in Roanoke, <br /> <br />Virginia at Hotel Roanoke on May 5, 1955.
