<br />:42 <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />FEBRUARY 22. 1955 <br /> <br />install said following water lines: <br /> <br />(1) A four-inch line from the intersection of Clarke Road and <br />Farmington Court westward to the terminus of Farmington <br />Court--a distance of some 580 feet; <br />(2) A four-inch line from the intersection of Sherwood Place <br />and Clarke Road westward to the terminus of Sherwood Place-- <br />a distance of 391 feet; <br />(3) A four-~nch line from the intersection of Clarke Road and <br />Lakemont Court east along Lakemont Court to the intersection <br />of Lakemont Court and Sam Lion 'l'rail--a distance of <br />approximately 900 feet; a~d <br />(4) A six-inch line from the intersection of Clarke Road and Sam <br />Lion Trail to the intersection of L~{emont Court ill1d Sam <br />Lion Trail--a distance of 635 feet. <br /> <br />Audit reports for the fiscal year ended June 30, 1954 and covering the City <br /> <br />Trial Justice's and City Treasurer1s offices were received from State <br /> <br />Auditor Gordon Bennett. The two officers ('J.'rial Justice and TreaSl.1.rer) Here <br /> <br />cor~nended for the excellent manner in ~mich they had maintained their records <br /> <br />and accounts. <br /> <br />An annual report, covering the calendar year 1954, was received from the <br /> <br />}~rtinsville Volunteer Fire Company. Both Council, collectively as well as <br /> <br />indi vidually, and City lvlanager Hathewson not only expressed appreciation on <br /> <br />behalf of the City and its citizens for the splendid work of the Fire Company <br /> <br />but also added their praises and congratulations to the Fire Company for <br /> <br />its outstanding achievements Hhich have brought national recognition. <br /> <br />In response to a petition requesting the replacing of the existing sm,er <br /> <br />line on Letcher street, because of its present unsatisfactory elevation, and <br /> <br />the paving of said Letcher Street, Council informed the petitioners (through <br /> <br />their representatives, Hessrs. Raymond Fontaine and John vI. l.Jartin) that <br /> <br />the replacing of the sewer line is on schedule for the latter part of this <br /> <br />forthcoming April. <br /> <br />COLIDcil was adjourned. <br /> <br />,1.
