H. hTacBryde, Jr., counsel for the <br /> <br />petitioners, Mrs. Evelyn H. stone and Mr. James C. Stone. Some concern over the <br /> <br />effect of the proposed zoning changes in the West End area upon residential property <br /> <br />values in that area was expressed by ~~. W. B. Muse and other residents of the area; <br /> <br />however, no expression was received from anyone in opposition to the proposed changes <br /> <br />as they might affect the Bob Gregory Street area. Council deferred action on the <br /> <br />whole subject pending a visit to both the Virginia-CaroUna Trucking Company and the <br /> <br />R. P. Thomas Trucl:ing Company properties schedules for Thur'sday, July 8, 195h, at <br /> <br />2 :00 P.M., at which time COUJlcil agreed also to review the many streets for vvhich <br /> <br />curb-and-gutter construction has been requested. <br /> <br />As to the second item on the agenda, Council approved for City Vanager Mathewson's <br /> <br />~:~ <br />I~~ <br />~ <br /> <br />signature an agreelIent (with Mr. J. Ford Burgess) concerninr; a right-or-way item on <br /> <br />the Route 220 Thoroughfare. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />, Clerk of Courcil <br /> <br />- <br />
