1 MONDAY JUNE 15. 1953 _. /' A special meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, as called by Council in its meeting of June 9, 1953, for the purpose of receiving from City Manager Mathewson his recommended budget, with accompanying budget message, for the forthcoming fiscal year ending June 30, 1954, was held in the Council Chamber, City Hall, on Monday, June 15, 1953, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., all members, as follows, being present:' Mayor and Councilman R. S. Hodnett, and Councilmen C. P. Craig, - D. H. Goode, W. T. Turner, and J. R. Walker. After opening remarks by Mayor Hodnett in which he stated the purpose of the meeting, City Manager Mathewson presented his recommended budget for said fiscal year ending June 30, 1954 and, also, his budget message accompanying said recommended budget. . BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martin svi lle , Virginia, in meeting assembled this thirtieth day of June, 1953 , that the following sums of money be and the same are hereby appropriated for the purposes herein specified for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1954: ,.-
