Henderson, Sr., pertain'ng to their <br /> <br />Edg8\wod Village Subdivision on Clearvievl Drive outside the corporate limits. <br /> <br />Council continued for consideration a report on the Hartinsville Division of the <br /> <br />SouthJ18stern Virginia Gas Company, as prepared by Uiley &: Hilson, Consulting <br /> <br />~- <br /> <br />Enginee~ pursuant to Council's instructions of June 10, 1958. This report included <br /> <br />a brief hist.ory of the Hartinsville Division, a descrintion of the company's plant, <br /> <br />and a discussion and appraisal of its utility operations, as JJell as tre fol101,Jing <br /> <br />conclusions: <br /> <br />COIrCLUSIons <br /> <br />General <br /> <br />If the City of ~hrtinsville should decide to acquire the Southwestern <br />Virginia Gas CO':1pary, there are hlO possibilities open to m1L'1icipal <br />operation: <br /> <br />The City may operate the utility as it now exists, not expand it or <br />enlarge it, but continue to serve the present custoners ,.Ji th no active <br />extension program.
