380 TUESDAY NOVE}ffiER 25. 1958 ~~rtinsville. Upon authorization of Council, ~~yor Shultz appointed a special committee to select available sites for a new Armory for review by the Adjutant General, Mayor Shultz appointing Vice-~~yor Stone, Councilman Burch, City Manager Hirst, Public Works Director George Brown, and local Commanding Officer Jackson C. Dodge, with authorization to invite such other citizens as the committee desires to serve on the committee. Upon recommendation of City Manager Hirst, Council granted permission to Mr. J. D. Renfroe to extend a City vl8.ter main some seventy-five (75) feet along Old Danville Road from a point near its intersection with Corn Tassel Trail east to a point directly opposite Mr. Renfroe's property outside the east corporate limits to permit ~tr. Eenfroe to tap the line and extend a smaller service line into his home. The record showed that Councilman Brown abstained from voting on this matter. Permission was granted with the understanding that such an extension will meet the requirements of the City's regulations governing the extension of utility lines outside the corporate limits, with the exception of sewerage service requirements which were waived. }~. Wilbert E. Evans, residing at 1419 South Askin Street, presented a written request that the City annex property owned by him and located outside the corporate limits at 1428 South Askin Street. Council suggested that ~~. Evans confer wit~ Hon. John D. Hooker, Judge of the Seventh Judicial Circuit Court, before whom is now pending an annexation petition from residents of the Lake Lanier area east of the City's east corporate limits.
