Upon reCOllllTlO ndation of the City Manager, Council authorized the terminating of the City's radio maintenance contract with Re.dio Comm.unications Company, Inc. and, also, --- authorized City Manager Hirst to execute on behalf of the City a radio maintenance or service contract with W. B. Reisenweaver, WLlSton-Salem, N. C. Upon being advised that Section 9-193 of the City's Motor Vehicles 8:. Traffic Code provid.es a minimum fine of five dollars ($5.00) for certain traffic regl.llatiollS violations, and upon motion, duly seconded, Council amended said section and code ~.....'O ~~ V' by adopting the following ordinance containing a minilnum fine of three dollars $3.00), Council Hill voting aGainst the amendment and c~oing on record as being in favor of the penalty as present~ imposed: BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, V:irginia, this eighth day of October, 1957, that Section 9-193 of Article XIV, of Chapter 9 of 'fHS CODE OF THE CITY OF MARTINSVILLE, 1956, be and is hereby amended to provide that the minimum pen21t3T or fine as heretofore set forth in said Section 9-193 shall beYlot less than three dollars. An emergency existing, this ordinance shall become effective from date of passage.
