B. Reisenweaver, WLlSton-Salem, N. C. <br /> <br />Upon being advised that Section 9-193 of the City's Motor Vehicles 8:. Traffic Code <br /> <br />provid.es a minimum fine of five dollars ($5.00) for certain traffic regl.llatiollS <br /> <br />violations, and upon motion, duly seconded, Council amended said section and code <br /> <br />~.....'O <br />~~ <br />V' <br /> <br />by adopting the following ordinance containing a minilnum fine of three dollars <br /> <br />$3.00), Council Hill voting aGainst the amendment and c~oing on record as being in <br /> <br />favor of the penalty as present~ imposed: <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, V:irginia, <br />this eighth day of October, 1957, that Section 9-193 of Article XIV, <br />of Chapter 9 of 'fHS CODE OF THE CITY OF MARTINSVILLE, 1956, be and <br />is hereby amended to provide that the minimum pen21t3T or fine as <br />heretofore set forth in said Section 9-193 shall beYlot less than <br />three dollars. <br /> <br />An emergency existing, this ordinance shall become effective from <br />date of passage. <br /> <br />Supported b;r the ap'Jroval of the Planning Corrilllission, Council approved a sub- <br /> <br />division contract, as aplJl'o-.red. by City Attorney Stone, 'with LIr.
