<br />.12 <br /> <br />FRIDAY FEBlUJARY 15. 1957 <br /> <br />Sec. 6. Issuance. <br />Upon compliance by the applicant with the preceding <br />sections of this article, the chief of police shall, <br />after such investigation ~s reasonably appears necessary, <br />issue to such applicant a solicitor's pennit which shall <br />be dated and signed by the chief of police; provided, <br />however, that the chief of police shall not be required <br />to issue such a solicitor's permit to any person who shall <br />have been convicted of any crime or misdemeanor involving <br />moral turpitude, or to any person whose permit has been <br />previously revoked, or to any person who is unable to <br />substantiate the prior reliability of himself or the <br />person or firm he represents. <br /> <br />Sec. 7. Term. <br />A solicitor's permit issued under this chapter shall be <br />good for a period of thirty days and no longer. <br /> <br />Sec. 8. Renewal. <br />A solicitor's permit may be renewed on its expiration <br />date, for an additional like period, upon the execution <br />of a renewal application setting forth that the statements <br />made in the original applicatior are t~le and accurate <br />statements at the time the renewal application is filed <br />or a renewal application setting forth all changes in the <br />original application required by a change in facts since <br />the date of filing the original application. For each <br />renewal permit the applicant shall pay to the city a fee <br />of one dollar. <br /> <br />Sec. 9. Transfer. <br />A solicitor's permi t issued t111der this chapter shall be <br />nontransferable. <br /> <br />Sec. 10. Conditions. <br />A solicitor's permit shall be issued subject to the <br />following conditions: <br />(a) The holder shall have his solicitor's permit in his <br />possession at all tL~es and shall exhibit the same at any <br />time upon request by any police officer of the city, or by <br />any purchaser, or by any purchaser, or by any person being <br />solicited. <br />(b) The holder of a pennit shall make no false statements <br />or misrepresentations of facts in the course of carrying on <br />the activity for which the permit is granted, and shall <br />conduct himself at all times in an orderly and lawful manner. <br />(c) For the sale and/or delivery of any goods, wares or <br />merchandise, there shall be a written order or invoice, in <br />duplicate, showing name and address of firm represented by <br />the solicitor, issued and signed by the solicitor, signed <br />by the purchaser, stating the terms and conditions of the <br />sale, a description of the goods, wares or merchandise, the <br />quantity and price thereof, the date of sale and/or the <br />date of delivery, and the amount paid in advance, if any. <br />The duplicate of such order or invoice shall be given to the <br />purchaser. <br />
