'Nalker. <br /> <br />After the invocation, Coune il a:~)praved as read the minutes of its regular meeting <br /> <br />held August 1)[, 1956. <br /> <br />Upon presi::ntation of a staterrent from Commissioner of Hevenuc J. David :1:1orris, <br /> <br />certifying th2.t because of an erroneous assessment in personal ~)rOpETty taxes against <br /> <br />Georf,e's Su:oermarket for the year 1955, which taxes have been paid, a refund of $183.37 <br /> <br />should be made to George I s Supermarket, Council oredered the Treasurer and Department of <br /> <br />Finance to reflmd said amount. It was noted that the Cormnissioner's certificate, dated <br /> <br />.\;'l'~"Jst 22, 1956 ani filed in accordance with Section 58-lili2 of t.he Code of VirGinia, carried <br /> <br />City Attorne:'l Stone I s a~c)'rovcel. <br /> <br />Terms of the presi3nt BOcL:~d of Zoning Appeals expiring August 31, 1956, Council reappointed <br /> <br />l!le;3s1~s. R. G. Atkins, Thoma,; J. Burch, O. B. Hensley, anelE. B. Holt to said Board for <br /> <br />three-year terms endinG Atl,,,aust 31, 1959. In a letter addTessed to the Council, the fifth <br /> <br />nember cend present chairman of t.he Board, Mr. Horace G. Council, thereupon, did not reappoint Mr. Dyer nor did the Council appoint a <br /> <br />fift.h rrrmber to replace I!lr. Dyer, deferring the appointment until a later date.
