Ted Cannaday, of Cannaday's Restaurant, in which Mr. Cannaday <br /> <br />severely criticized the City and blamed the City for certain alleged business <br /> <br />losses allegedly resulting from traffic regulations in this area. Council then <br /> <br />reviewed with City Manager Hirst recommendations of Church Street businessmen, <br /> <br />the first of which recommendations advocated the extending of each parking space <br /> <br />in the Church Street business district by two feet, which City Manager Hirst <br /> <br />indicated would be done as soon as possible. other reco:mmendations, the <br /> <br />Manager reported, will be taken under consideration and studied further. <br /> <br />In conclusion, Council extended a cordial welcome to Messrs. John VI. Shultz, <br /> <br />E. E. stone, and F. V. Woodson, Sr., Councilmen-elect, to attend all meetings <br /> <br />of the Council to be held prior to their taking office on September 1st. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />ouncil <br />
