Walker. <br /> <br />After the invocation by Councilman Walker, Council a:)1:)roved as reaG the minutes of <br /> <br />its regular meetinG held April 24, 1956. <br /> <br />After hearing from several visitors iJresent on the matter of rezoning an area on or <br /> <br />near Standpipe Hill Road, as previously dis cussed by Cour:cil, Council deferred action <br /> <br />on a proposed ordinance which vmuld effect sa:iJl rezoninc, vrhich ordinance was <br /> <br />introduced and placed on first readinG during Councill::; meeting of j;}1ril 24, 1956. <br /> <br />By action of C01J.ncil, City l.:anager ];'')"0hevlSon was autilOrized to execute for the City <br /> <br />a contract with Wiley (;:. ViilsoYl, Consulting Enf,ineers, Lynchburg, VirGinia, for tc~e <br /> <br />preparation of prelimin2TY }Jlans and specific2.tions for sevrerage system improvements <br /> <br />and for a sewage disposal system.
