<br />.6 <br /> <br />TUES DAY <br /> <br />APRIL 10~ 1956 <br /> <br />The Planning Commission of the City of Martinsville, at its regular meeting <br />March 28, 1956, received a request from LT. YI. D. I;':>:"'ith and Mr. Haley Young <br />for the extension by the City of lIartimville of a vrater main on Memorial <br />Boulevard west o.f its intersection 'with Fayette 3treet from the end of the <br />present main to ,-"" point at which a service might be t2..ken off to s(:;rvc the <br />building formerly occupied by the Old Dominion Antique Shop. In consideration <br />of this extension L:essrs. Frith and YounG requested thatt~hey be allowed to <br />pay for the cost of the installation of curb and E':Utter on the south side of <br />Memorial Boulevar(~ in front of the property formerly occupied as stated above. <br /> <br />After due consideration of this request the PlarEJ.:Lng ConrrnissioCl gave <br />conm tional approval to it thereby saying, in effect, that t;lessrs. Frith and <br />Young - in order to follo",! the terms of the subdivision ordinance - must <br />enter into an agreement with the City COlli~cil. <br /> <br />The Planning CO:CJElission, by granting this approval, recommends to City Council <br />that in consideration of the petitioners pa,ying for curb and gutter (to be <br />installed later) that the City vI:L11 extend city services to the property in <br />question. <br /> <br />The Commission resp=,ctfully submits the above ,:,ecoru:1sndation for Council's <br />further consideration. <br /> <br />Yours vor] truly, <br /> <br />Irving R.
