<br />~94 <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />DECEMBER 12. 1961 <br /> <br />unless said dog shall have been vaccinated with a modified <br />live virus (Flury strain) rabies vaccine, approved by the <br />Virginia State Department of Health within a period of <br />36 months, or inoculated within a period of 12 months with <br />a killed rabies vaccine approved by the Virginia State <br />Department of Health. <br /> <br />Council unanimously directed the appropriation transfer of the sum of $225.00 <br /> <br />from the General Fund's Emergency Account to a new account to provide funds <br /> <br />for anticipated expenses in connection with local Civil Defense activities. <br /> <br />Council was advised of the expiration on January 31, 1962, of the terms of <br /> <br />Messrs. Frank D. Fulton and Thornton G. Wampler as members of the Human Values <br /> <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Upon suggestion of Councilman Burch, Council directed City Manager Hirst to <br /> <br />invite Mr. Frederick Heutte, Superintendent of Parts and Forestry for the City <br /> <br />of Norfolk, Virginia, to visit Martinsvi1le in the near future for the purpose <br /> <br />of viewing the City's East Church Street Park area and making recommendations <br /> <br />thereon for the development or improvement thereof, particularly in relation <br /> <br />to the City's development plans therefor. <br /> <br />By unanimous agreement of its members, Council directed that the re-scheduled <br /> <br />meeting of Council to be held December 19, 1961, in lieu of the regularly-scheduled <br /> <br />meeting for December 26, 1961, be held at 4:30 P.M. in the Council Chamber instead <br /> <br />of the regular meeting time of 7:15 P.M. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />W. <br /> <br /> <br />."\-.// <br /> <br />Council <br />
