Upon motion, duly seconded and unanimouc3ly carried, Council by ordinance adopted the following- amendments to the City's Plumbing Code: BE IT mDAINED by the Council of the City of Hartinsville, Virginia, in regular meeting asseI'1bled, that the Plmnbbp Code of the City of Martinsville, as amended, be and is hereby further amended to provide that the sections of said Core herein- after SElt forth shalJ read: Section 1 !~. In no case shaD any house sel,rer be covered at the joints until the plumbing inspector insnects these joints to see that they are made according to soecif'ications as detailed herein. The department of insnections or public works department shall have the right to require any house sewer to be uncovered for inspection if it is back-f-il1edin vio;ation of this section. Section 166. New materials Any new material placed on the market after the adontion of this code, which is annroved by a recognized testing agency as meet.ing all the requirements of the NationaJ Bureau of Standards, and v!hich the department of insoections a-cnroves beInr- equally efficient, may be nermitted.
