<br />:32 <br /> <br />TUES DAY <br /> <br />NOVEMBER 8, 1960 <br /> <br />In reS1Jonse to an inquiry iron City Manager Hirst, Council authorized the repayment <br /> <br />of a loan of approximately $30,000.00 to the Federal Government, advanced in 1956 <br /> <br />by the Federal Housing & Home Finance AGency to help fiYk1.nce the cost of the City's <br /> <br />sewerage system construction plans, which loan was advanced without interest upon <br /> <br />the condition that it be repaid upon the beginninG of construction. Council noted <br /> <br />that such construction has beGun and directed the repayment be made from Sewer Furrl <br /> <br />construction funds. <br /> <br />In connection therewith, City Manager Hirst presented a ufund statusll report which <br /> <br /> <br />included the construction end financing schedule of proposed sewerage system <br /> <br /> <br />improvements, projecting construction projects and revenues to provide C ourcil <br />with a quarterly review of these projections compared 'with actual work in progress <br />and 1J'tLth funds available. Council indicated the desire that the construction w"ark <br /> <br />be proceeded VIii th and completed as fast as funds 1.'d_ll permit. <br /> <br />City Me.nager Hirst briefly cOf.1J11ented upon other futill'e capite.l improvercent needs <br /> <br />of the City, supplementinG: these remarks vdth a schedule for Council's consideration. <br /> <br />Council was extended a cordial invitation to visit the forthcoming Police Firearms <br /> <br />School to be conducted by a representative of the Federal Bureau of Investigation <br /> <br /> <br />for City police personnel at the Police Department1s Practice Target Range. <br /> <br /> <br />Council indicated that it would visit the RaIl..[';e on November 15th as well as visit <br /> <br /> <br />other City properties and facilities. <br /> <br />City Manager Hirst presented several maps, including a property map and a contour <br /> <br />map, of the City's airport tract and related City properties for guidance in the <br />proposed development of the airport tract. <br />
