The restoring of the pavement, sidewalks, curbs, <br /> <br /> <br />,-- gutters, and other portions of streets shall be done in accordance with specifications <br /> <br /> <br />of the city, if any, and shall be subject to inspection by the city. The City <br /> <br /> <br />Council may require the grantee to notify, in any or all cases, the director of <br /> <br /> <br />public works, or his agent, in ~~iting immediately after the aforesaid work has <br /> <br /> <br />been completed. The grantee shall maintain, repair and keep in good condition for <br /> <br /> <br />a period of one year following such disturbance all portions of streets and alleys <br /> <br /> <br />disturbed by it or its agents. The grantee shall promptly remove or correct any <br /> <br />"",--..... <br /> <br />obstruction or defect in any street, alley, or other public place which may be <br /> <br /> <br />caused by the grantee or its agents in the operation or maintenance of the grantee's <br /> <br />properties. Any such obstruction or defect which, after proper <br /> <br />notice to the <br /> <br />-, <br /> <br />grantee directing removal or repair as the case may be, is not promptly removed, <br /> <br /> <br />repaired, or corrected by the grantee, shall be remedied by the city, and the <br /> <br /> <br />costs thereof shall be charged againsv the grantee and shall be paid within a <br /> <br /> <br />period of thirty (30) days after presentation of a bill therefore Expense of <br /> <br /> <br />damage to, or relocation or replacement o~ city utility lines, sanitary sewers, <br /> <br /> <br />storm sewers, and storm drains, where such expense results from construction or <br /> <br /> <br />maintenance of the grantee's lines or facilities, shall be borne by the grantee <br /> <br /> <br />and any expense incurred in connection therewith by the city shall be reimbursed <br /> <br /> <br />by the grantee. <br /> <br /> <br />(3) The grantee shall not open or disturb or encumber, at anyone time, any <br /> <br /> <br />more of such public streets than may, in the opinion of the director of public <br /> <br /> <br />works, be reasonably necessary to enable it to proceed with advantage in laying <br /> <br /> <br />or repairing its gas mains and pipes.
