<br />Board as required by law. <br /> <br />7. Meets the salaries and operating expenses of the constitutional offices of <br /> <br />the city as approved by Council prior to January 1, 1959. A few incidental <br /> <br />items are additionally allowed in thes e offices as requested, including $900 <br /> <br />for a new parking meter coin counter in the city treasurer's office. <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />Provides $500 to be used to implement and put into effect phases of the <br /> <br />two-and-half year broad city planning study that has been completed this <br /> <br />past year. <br /> <br />;' <br /> <br />9. Provides $6,100 for needed replacement of the bookkeeping-accounting <br /> <br />machine in the finance department, and, $700 for a safe-cabinet in the <br /> <br />billing office. <br /> <br />10. Allocates $10,000 for improved municipal office, police and fire facilities. <br /> <br />This is far short of an amount actually desired, but the amount was dictated <br /> <br />by funds available rather than need. It will be noted, payments on the <br /> <br />A1tschull property occupied by the Health Department were completed in <br /> <br />1958- 59. Funds for improvements to city's buildings has been reduced from <br /> <br />$4,000, as has prevailed for a number of years, to $2,000. <br /> <br />1 L Does not anticipate any additional personnel over the 1958- 59 budget with <br /> <br />the exception of a rod-man chainman in the engineering division.
