<br />4:1 <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br /> <br />JUNE 1, 1 965 <br /> <br />.r-- <br /> <br />submitted by Prillaman & Pace (as noted in Council's May 25th minutes) for <br /> <br />the constructing of a raw water pumping station at the Beaver Creek Reservoir. <br /> <br />In reviewing the petition received May 25th from Mr. Lawson L. Lester, Jr., <br /> <br />through his counsel (Mr. Ebb H. Williams, III, Attorney at Law), requesting <br /> <br />the closing and vacating of a street identified as IlGranit Streetu (off Forest <br /> <br />Street), and in view of unknown factors involving the development of Mr. Lester's <br /> <br />..-. <br /> <br />property in the area, Council referred to the Planning Commission the matter of <br /> <br />ruling on l~. Lester's subdivision plans when presented and the considering of <br /> <br />the effect of such plans on other properties in the area and the ingress and egress <br /> <br />thereto and therefrom. <br /> <br />Council continued for additional study the question as to whether to invite <br /> <br />franchise bid proposals for the operating of a CATV system in Martinsville, <br /> <br />pending receipt of information from other municipalities as to CATV franchises <br /> <br />in force in these municipalities. <br /> <br />Dr. Charles J. Mathes, Director of the local Health Department, reported that <br /> <br />developments are underway whereby sanitation requirements will be more satisfactorily <br /> <br />complied with in the future by the Henry County Fair Association than in the past. <br /> <br />Council was adjourned. <br /> <br />-- <br /> <br />')"Jl-~ lr'---- ..,"'-~ <br />W.
