<br />3~ <br /> <br />TUESDAY <br />--- <br /> <br />OCTOBER 27, 1964 <br /> <br />Through Mayor Wilson, Lester Lum.ber Company implied that the City has not <br /> <br />complied with an agreement regarding the improving and development of an <br /> <br />extension of the new Armory Road between the new Armory and the City's <br /> <br />southwest corporate limits; whereupon Council learned that the City is <br /> <br />awaiting Lester Lumber Company's compliance with said agreement, Le., the <br /> <br />rough-grading by Lester Lumber Company must be completed before the City <br /> <br />can undertake its work. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Council discussed the problem being presented by the filling in with dirt <br /> <br />by Lester LQm.ber Com.pany of an area near Sale Knitting Company's Franklin <br />}P. t. / <br /> <br />street ~o enable Sale Knitting Company to construct an addition to its plant, <br /> <br />which filling will interfere with development of a portion of the Northside <br /> <br />!Tloop" . <br /> <br />Mr. T. J. Childress, Jr., appeared before Council and cited a need for a <br /> <br />sidewalk along the southside of Spruce Street from Parkview Avenue to Indian <br /> <br />Trail and thence down Indian Trail to the Druid Hills Elementary School, <br /> <br />indicating that the construction of a portion of such a sidewalk was included <br /> <br />in Lanier Farm's plans for development of its property along the south side of <br /> <br />Spruce Street. <br /> <br />Council wa:3 adj ourned. <br /> <br />. , <br />W.
