<br />Vice-Mayor Renick called Council's attention to an article in the September 17th
<br />
<br />edition of the Martinsville Bulletin, pertaining to mosquito-breeding places
<br />
<br />in the City, and asked--with Council's concurrence--that any such conditions
<br />
<br />on City-owned property, such as the City Park on East Church Street, be rectified
<br />
<br />immediately.
<br />
<br />Upon inquiry of Coun~ilDlan Burch, City Manager Hirst informed Council that certain
<br />
<br />sewer lines as have been subject to eruption and breaking because of excessive
<br />
<br />pressure, such as on South Askin Street, are undergoing temporary corrective
<br />
<br />measures pending replacement under the City's sewerage system improvement program
<br />
<br />Council was adjourned.
